Many of us start this business because of a passion for birth, to help educate and empower birthing families, and to make a difference. While making money isn't necessarily why we started, it's still important! 
Unfortunately, passion doesn't pay the light bill.
It's possible to feel valued, do what you love, and market your business in a way that feels comfortable and authentic to you!  
No pushy sales tactics allowed.
I've been in this business for over 10 years now. I've done business in many different ways. I've given myself away and felt used and taken advantage of. I've charged higher prices than I was comfortable doing to make myself look important. I've come to realize that there is a balance. I can serve people AND ask for a fair price. I can feel good about what I offer, so that I'm not embarrassed and ashamed to admit my price. I want to help you get there, too before burnout sets in or you leave the business before you've even started.

What you get

Once you sign up to work with Deb for your 90 Day Boost Your Birth Business Session, you'll receive your choice of ebook or physical book that helps us establish your individual needs. You will work through questions about yourself, your likes and dislikes, your personality, the clients you want to work with, what else you do, how much time you have to work, your strengths and weaknesses, where you see your business in 6-12 months, your familiarity with blogging and social media, what tools you use now, and more.

Plan on spending anywhere at least 3-4 hours and up to a week working through this information. The more information we have to start with the more detailed your plan can be for you.

You'll send that information to Deb for review and book your 3-4 hour working session. Sessions can be done in person in Chicagoland or via Zoom online. (Let Deb know if you aren't familiar with Zoom for additional support)

During your working session, Deb will help you deep dive to get a detailed plan set for your next 90 days.  We'll discuss getting new business, marketing, reaching new people both online and off line, creating multiple income streams, and how to do it all in ways that's not overwhelming to your personality.

Within 7 days after your working session, you'll get your personalized plan for 90 days.

Price: I want this to be affordable for new doulas. I understand that each expense puts stress on you and your family.

FAQ's

Who is this for?
The 90 day mentorship program is best suited for newer doulas. While you can start the program before your doula training, you'll be able to get the most out of it and be able to move forward quicker if you have completed your initial doula training.

Do I have to be trained by PTC to do the "Boost Your Birth Business" program?
Absolutely not!

What if I change my mind and do not want the working session?
If, for any reason, you decide you do not want to do your working session after receiving and working though your discovery book, you'll be refunded all but $25, the cost of the discovery guide.

Is this only for placenta encapsulation or is it for any business?
The 90 day mentorship program is best suited for doulas (birth and postpartum), childbirth education teachers, placenta encapsulators, and other non-medical birth workers.

What does a sample plan look like?
Keep in mind that everyone has different business needs. Someone who does not have a website will spend a few weeks building one, but someone with a website, blog, and social media already set up may start out by building workshops and networking. Some people may only have 10 hours a week to build thier business and other's may have 30 hours a week. Each plan will suit you.
Here might be the beginning of a plan for someone just starting out:
Week 1
Is your buisness legit? Do you have a business name, how will you do business, how do you want people to pay you? Create an income/ expense worksheet to track your business, set your income goals to be realistic. 
Week 2
Set up a basic Weebly (or other platform) website.  Weebly offers a very basic free option that can be upgraded later. Build a home page and a services page using the information from your working session to reach your ideal clients.
Week 3
Start a Facebook business page. Make a list of 6-10 informational topics you will use on social media. Watch for any interesting studies or blogs that come out you might want to share, Watch for celebraty baby news to share. Share your new website on your business page. Create a list of affirmations or postive graphics for sharing. Set up 4 informational posts and schedule them over the next two weeks. Share one affirmation or graphic you made or found.
Week 4
Work on meeting people offline and find a networking group in your area or online if there are no local groups. Create an about me page for your website using the information from your ebook and working session. Check your social media posts and answer any questions and respond to comments regularly. Share interesting information you have found online that your clients would be interested in reading. 

Can I get additional follow-up/accountability?
You can sign up for etiher monthly or weekly check ins for an additional fee. Monthly check-ins are held on ZOOM for 45 minutes. We will look at your progress over the past month and make adjustments in the plan if needed. A set of three monthly check-ins is $197. Weekly accountability check ins will be purchased in sets of four. Weekly accountability ZOOM calls are 30 minutes. We will discuss detailed information on social media, blogging, and additional online and offline marketing. Cost $197 per set of four weekly meetings.
